The MABC-2 assesses manual dexterity, aiming and catching, and balance, and is a core instrument in developmental coordination disorder evaluation. Because the item set changes between age bands, an age error means the wrong tasks, not just the wrong table.

How the MABC-2 wants the age entered

Record chronological age as years;months. The MABC-2 groups children into three age bands (3โ€“6, 7โ€“10, 11โ€“16) with different item sets, so the recorded age selects the tasks administered.

The underlying calculation is the same for every instrument โ€” complete years, complete months, then the leftover days. What differs is which part of it goes on the form. The calculator above reports all four figures at once, so you can copy the one the MABC-2 manual asks for without recalculating:
